Lawn Fawn May Inspiration & Release Week: Cake Slice Box + Just Stitching Double Rectangles

Happy Lawn Fawn release week! All the new Summe products are now available.  Today is a bonus day featuring a few more new products that were just too good to hold until June. :)

CakeBox_ChariMoss1

First up is the Cake Slice Box. This new die is so cool! It cuts the pieces for you to make a little box that looks like a slice of cake. It also has elements to decorate it with.

CakeBox_ChariMoss2

I made two boxes and stacked them to make a tall slice of cake.  I also modified the scalloped lid to make it look like thinner icing in between the layers of cake.

CakeBox_ChariMoss3

My favorite part might be the sprinkles I added to the top.  I used a combination of polka parade sprinkles and nonpareils. I love the look they added and it's so festive! I will work on a video showing how I modified this box to make a double-layered slice.

We are also sharing projects with the new Just Stitching Double Rectangles today. This is a die that adds the stitching detail with two lines of stitching but without actually cutting the rectangle.

JustStitchingDoubleRectangles_BirthdayBeforenAfters_ChariMoss2

I used the just stitching die directly on the card base as well as on the pattern paper panel for this card. The cute little bird and sentiment are from the new Birthday Before 'n Afters stamp set.

For my second card, I made a watercolor panel then I ran it through my die cutting machine with the stitched rectangles at an angle before snipping them apart to create a fun detail on the background.

I just love this cake from the Birthday Before 'n After set too. It's so fun! I also added some of the confetti from that set to pull in the black of the sentiment strips.

You can see the two cards as part of the Just Stitching Double Rectangle intro video and I will be making a cake slice box video in the near future. Also, be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects!

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration & Release Week: Sunrise Backdrop + Palm Tree Border + Sandy Accents

Hello! Tomorrow is Release day for the new Summer Lawn Fawn products! But for today I have a few fun cards to share using some of the new die sets from this release.

SunriseBackdrop_ScriptyHelloBorder_ChariMoss1

First up I have a card with the Sunrise Backdrop die. I did an inlay technique on this card.  I stamped colored cardstock with the gingham backdrop in matching inks to create a tone on tone pattern then die cut the in-between pieces for the rays and dropped them in making a rainbow sunrise.

SunriseBackdrop_ScriptyHelloBorder_ChariMoss2

I also die cut a stitched circle and cut it off to make the sun and added the new scripty hello border die in black over top for the sentiment.  I finished it off with some clear sequins for embellishment.

PalmTreeBorder_SandyBeachAccents_ChariMoss1

My second card today pairs one of my favorite older sets, Ahoy Matey, with the new Palm Tree Border die and the Sandy Beach Accents.  I thought the palm trees would be perfect to set the scene of for my treasure island and the Sandy Beach accents work so perfectly for tucking the treasure into the sand.

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration & Release Week: Smooth Sailing

Hello! Today as part of Lawn Fawn Release week I have a bunch of cards to share with the new Smooth Sailing set. I love this set, especially the little critters that you can put in the boat.

SmoothSailing_ChariMoss1

I made a fun background with the anchor stamp from this set on my card base before adhereing a porthole frame in the center for my little sailing scene.  I paper pieced the sails from Really Rainbow paper and added the cute little bunny to hold the small anchor over the side.

SmoothSailing_ChariMoss2

The water is cut from Spring Fling paper using the new Simple Stitched Wave Border.

SmoothSailing_ChariMoss3

My second card is a cute little dreamy scene with a ink blended sky. Instead of wavy borders my little boats are floating in the clouds.

SmoothSailing_ChariMoss4

My last card has the cute little lighthouse.  I used the sun die cut from Spring Showers to make a glow behind the light house in addition to the little stamped glow lines that come in the set.

SmoothSailing_ChariMoss5

How cute are both those little critters haning out in the boat! I used the clouds and birds also include in the set to complete my scene.

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration & Release Week: Peacock Before 'n Afters + Outside-In Stitched Speech Bubble

Hello! Today as part of Lawn Fawn Release week we are sharing projects with the newest addition to the Before 'n After series, the Peacock Before 'n After set as well as the new Speech Bubble Stackables.

PeacockBeforeNAfters_ChariMoss1

Although this new set is designed to work with the magic picture changer die I used the cute peacock to create a simple congratuations card.

PeacockBeforeNAfters_ChariMoss2

My second card features the Outside-In Stitched Speech Bubble stackables.

OutsideInSpeechBubbleStackables_ChariMoss1

I used it to create a window for the little critters to peek out from and lined the inside of the card with Really Rainbow Scallop paper.

OutsideInSpeechBubbleStackables_ChariMoss2

I used the critters from Slow Down and Enjoy and For You, Deer because the dies cut them so that their arms can hang over the edge.  Also I used the back sides to finish them off on the inside of the card as well.

Be sure to check ou the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects and to see these cards as part of the intro videos for today!lawn

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration & Release Week: Say What? Pets + Critter Chatter + Speech Bubble Backdrop

Hello! Lawn Fawn Release week continues today with the new Say What? Pets, Critter Chatter & Speech Bubble Backdrop dies.  I have lots to share today so let's get to it.

SayWhatPets_CritterChatter_StitchedSpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss1

My first card features Say What? Pets and Critter Chatter to make a simple little scene with the cute dog from Say What? Pets.

SayWhatPets_CritterChatter_StitchedSpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss2

Say What? Pets is designed to work with the Say What? Gift Tags die set.  I made a cute little set of tags that would be super cute on some little gifts.

SayWhatPets_Tags_ChariMoss1

SayWhatPets_Tags_ChariMoss2

My last features an inlay of rainbow speech bubble die cuts in the new Speech Bubble Backdrop die. I cut the background from all the colors as well as white and dropped the bubble die cuts into the voids of the white die cut background.  I added a vellum stitched speech bubble with a black glitter scripty hello and some clear sequins for some extra shine.

SpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss1

The great thing about this technique is I used the leftover pieces to create 5 more cards! I changed the orientation creating both landscape and portrait cards and added different black die cuts fro the sentiments.

SpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss3

I used the border as a guide for the speech bubble placement on all the other cards.  Some of them I used foam adhesive to pop them up off the background for some added interest.

SpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss2

You can see how all these cards came together as part of the Say What? Pets intro video and Speech Bubble Backdrop intro video.  Also, be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects from the design team with all these new products.

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration & Release Week: Keep On Swimming

Hello! It's release week at Lawn Fawn and today we are continuing with the new set Keep On Swimming and I have two cards to share!

KeepOnSwimming_CritterChatter_StitchedSpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss1

I used the new stitched speech bubble backdrop die and the new Critter Chatter stamp set to make my background on Mermaid cardstock.  The sentiment is from the new Critter Chatter set as well.

KeepOnSwimming_CritterChatter_StitchedSpeechBubbleBackdrop_ChariMoss2

I love that the Keep on Swimming stamp set has the stamps to set the scene inside the fishbowl as well as outside of it. I stamped the sand, water line, and bubbles to make my little fish a happy home.

KeepOnSwimmingRevealWheel_ChariMoss1

My second card uses the reveal wheel add-on for the Keep on Swimming to animate the little puffer fish puffing up.

KeepOnSwimmingRevealWheel_ChariMoss4

I love the look of the flower paper like wallpaper in this little scene.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more Keep on Swimming projects and you can see just how these two cards came together as part of the Keep on Swimming intro video!

OneTheBeach_StitchedSimpleWavyBorders_ChariMoss1

How cute is that little fox sunbathing? I used Really Rainbow Scallops paper for the background and Spiffy Speckles for the sky.

OneTheBeach_StitchedSimpleWavyBorders_ChariMoss2

I used the new Stitched Simple Wavy Border dies for the waves at the bottom where my little beach ball is floating.
