Woodland Critter Glitter Ornaments + Giving Tuesday

Today I have a fun decor project to share! I created some fun woodland critter glitter ornaments that were super simple and fun to create.  I think these would be a fun project to do with kids or to give as gifts and you could make them any colors you want which is super fun.

I stuck to more traditional colors for my critters.  I also have a fun trick for creating these glittery ornaments where the glitter remains safely inside with no mess once it is done.  Just coat the inside of the clear ornament with floor polish, add glitter and shake! You can see just how I did that in the tutorial below or HERE on my YouTube channel.

I used felt for the faces, ears, and tails and sandwiched cardstock between my felt for elements that need to be stiff to stand up.

Instead of using the noses included with the die I added a black button for the nose for some added fun.  I think it added a handmade look and looks super cute.

I think these would be fun to create in non-traditional colors like pinks and teals.  You can customize them for fun add-ons for packages or to match the colors of your Christmas decor.

I hope you liked this project showing you how to use your dies in a different way. Today is Giving Tuesday and Lawn Fawn has something special in store for today.

A Little Sparkle - Lawn Fawn Black Friday special

Hello! It's Black Friday so you know what that means, shipping specials a special stamp set available from Lawn Fawn with purchase! See the details below.

Today I have a bright and happy pop-up box card to share using the new mini set A Little Sparkle that is part of the Lawn Fawn Black Friday promotion.

I used the puffy cloud border dies to create some sparkly clouds for this cute little unicorn to play in.

The fairies are on strips of clear acetate so they look as if they are flying all around. I also added a die cut rainbow to the background to complete my magical unicorn scene.

I have a video tutorial for this pop-up box card.  Check it out below or on YouTube.

Fawny Holiday Week: Clean & Simple Christmas Card + video

Hello! It's Fawny Holiday week at Lawn Fawn.  A week full of holiday projects and inspiration. It is also our Get Cracking on Christmas day!  (if you are not familiar yet with my Get Cracking on Christmas posts, it is a monthly holiday post with my friends to create one holiday card each month throughout the year. This month Jenn & Caryn are joining me with a Get Cracking on Christmas post. I have a clean and simple glittery card to share, with a video tutorial as well.

I cut the letters with Louie's ABCs and the mini wreath from Christmas colored glitter cardstock and added them to a white woodgrain cardstock base.  The little bow and string are from the stitched ornaments die set and I simply trimmed it off at the top so that it looks as though the wreath is hanging from the top of the card.

For the remainder of the sentiment, I white embossed Harold's ABCs onto a folded banner and adhered it below. To finish off I added some red jewels to look like berries.  You can see just how I created this card in the video below or HERE on my YouTube channel.

Be sure and check out the Lawn Fawn blog all week for holiday inspiration and also visit Jenn & Caryn for some Get Cracking on Christmas inspiration as well.  Also if you want to join us in our monthly holiday card making please share on social media and use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas.

Glittery Thanksgiving Card with Alcohol Ink

Today I have a glittery Thanksgiving card to share.  I used alcohol ink to custom color pixie dust glitter cardstock to create some colorful fall leaves to decorate my card.  I dyed a whole piece then die cut stitched leaves to get variegated fall colored leaves.

I used a mixture of Finley's ABCs with a dipped embossing technique and scripty thanks cut from glitter cardstock to create the sentiment.  I arranged all my elements on a white quilted backdrop for some added interest and design.

I have a video tutorial showing just how I created this card and how I colored my glitter cardstock with alcohol inks.  Check out the video below or HERE on my YouTube channel.
