Altenew May 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello! Welcome to the Altenew May 2018 Release Blog Hop.  You should be arriving from Enza Gudor's blog.  Please visit the Altenew Card Blog to see all the products in this release.  I have two cards to share with you today using some of the new products from the May 2018 stamp and die release.

Altenew-Floral Elements-Fine Alphabet-Chari Moss

This first card uses the new mini set Floral Elements and coordinating dies to create the bright and beautiful bouquet behind the sentiment.  I used the new Fine Alphabet Dies to create the sentiment.  I cut three of each letter from black cardstock and one from gold glitter and stacked them to create a nice thick sentiment to stand out from the flowers behind.

I used the Cross Stitch Canvas Die for the background for some added interest and finished it off by embellishing with crystal clear drops and stardust stickles at the flower centers.

Altenew-Main Squeeze-Chari Moss1

My second card uses the new stamp set Main Squeeze and it's coordinating dies.  I started with a card base cut from Warm Sunshine cardstock and stamped single layered lemons for the background.  I also stamped out a few layered lemons on white cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I popped them up on the background with different thicknesses of foam adhesive to create dimensions on the card and added a bright sentiment strip close to the bottom.  I added a few clear droplets that I think make this card look like a refreshing glass of lemonade.

Fabulous cards. I particularly like the tone-on-tone background of the lemonade card. I might have thought that a background that bright would drown out the fully stamped lemons, but I would have been wrong. I love how it all turned out, and now I'm really thirsty for lemonade! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.
