Birthday Pop-up Garden

Hello! Today I have a birthday card filled with flowers that I created for my Grandmother's 94th birthday.

I used the Really Rainbow papers to create a bright happy box.  I like how the rainbow stripe 12x12 paper has a more solid stripe on the back side to give a little break between the stripes and the colorful flowers inside. I used the smaller matching stripe from the 6x6 pad for the panels so that everything worked together.

I added some die cut numbers from Finley's 123s to the flowers in the middle to note her age and filled the rest of the box with die cut tulips made with the Little Flowers die set.

Check out the video below or you can watch it HERE on my YouTube channel to see how I created this fun, colorful Birthday Pop-up Box Card.

Get Cracking On Christmas: Season's Greetings Friends

Hello! Today I am joining my friends Jenn and Caryn for our monthly Get Cracking On Christmas feature.  The idea behind this monthly feature is to create Christmas cards all year long because we always seem to be short on time and unable to create cards during the holiday season.

For my card, I used some of my hoarded Doodlebug Design paper. GASP!

I thought these cute little bundled up kids from Pretty Pink Posh worked perfectly with these papers.  I used Zig Clean Color Brush Pens to watercolor the images and cut them out with coordinating dies. I white embossed the sentiment on the background panel and used shimmer cardstock for the snowy ground.  I popped my panel and images up with foam adhesive and finished off by embellishing with some Snowfall sequins from Neat & Tangled.

Be sure to visit my friends' blog for more Cracking on Christmas inspiration and please feel free to join us as we create holiday cards once a month to get a jump start on Christmas!  If you do join us please use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas so we can see your creations as well! Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week: Speech Bubbles

Hello! Today is the last day for Lawn Fawn April Lawn Fawn Inspiration week and I have a fun clean and simple card using the new speech bubbles die set.

I cut the stitched woodgrain backdrop from white cardstock and mounted it onto a card base.  I also die cut various sizes of speech bubbles with sentiments from a rainbow of cardstock. I mounted the bubbles to the cardbase with foam adhesive so that they would be popped up off the background and create cool shadows. I finished off with some small clear sequins for embellishment.

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects and thanks for joining us for another Inspiration week!

Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week: Plan On It: Spring Cleaning

Hello! Today for Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week we are featuring the newest planner set Plan On It: Spring Cleaning.  I don't do planners, but there are some fun little images in this set.  I created an encouragment card using all these little images.

I created a background by white embossing all the little cleaning images on a stitched rectangle panel.   Then I blended distress oxide inks over top to create a rainbow background.  I added some water droplets and flecks of gold watercolor for some added interest.

For the sentiment I used Finley's ABCs to cut some black cardstock. After glueing them down to the background I added a layer of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen and then a layer of glossy accents to create shiny letters.
