Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello!
Today I am happy to be joining a lovely group of talented designers for the Altenew Year in Review Blog hop. You should have arrived from Enza Gudor's blog. If not there is a complete list of all stops along this hop located at the end of this post in case you want to start from the beginning or have gotten lost.

This year was the first time I had the privilege of using Altenew products so I do not have too many to share but I did pick some of my favorites to share with you today!

Altenew_Summer Swirls_Chari Moss

I really loved the look of the limited color scheme for this ice cream card.  Creating the background with the smaller ice cream image in the Summer Swirls stamp set finished off the card perfectly.

Altenew_Arabesque Medallion_Heartfelt Thanks_Chari Moss

This card was so fun to create with the emboss resist and ink blending. The Arabesque Medallion is nice and big and looks great off centered off the card.  To add texture to the blended background I used water droplets and metallic paint splatters. I also painted in some of the areas of the medallion with gold metallic watercolor for some shine.  The clear and irridecent yellow sequins add even more shine!

CardKit1

These next few cards I created with the New Day Card Kit.  I really enjoyed using some of the fabulous papers in this kit and embellishing them.

CardKit2

Here are a couple more from the card kit. I really liked using all the colors of the matte dots in the set on the left card. Now for more hop details and goodies

Sparkling Snowflakes: Elegant Holiday Cards

Hello!
Today I have some sparkling, elegant holiday cards to share and a video tutorial too! I really love how these cards turned out with the tone on tone design with lots of shimmer and shine.

SparklingSnowflakes3

I die cut one glittery panel and created two different cards.  You can check out the video tutorial below or on my YouTube Channel HERE.

Here is a closer look at both cards.  This first one uses the die cut snowflakes with some Neat & Tangled Snowfall sequins.   The sentiment is die cut from gold metallic paper stacked on cream cardstock.  The second part of the sentiment is embossed with rose gold embossing powder on a metallic white paper strip.

SparklingSnowflakes1

The second card uses the negative leftover die cut panel.  The die cut sentiment on this one is cut from a copper metallic paper and I used some ice cube and bridal jewels from Little Things from Lucy's Cards to fill in between the snowflakes.

ChristmasBirchTrees-1

I created a little winter scene with Perfectly Plaid Chill for the background and white die cut birch trees.  I added a little bit of Glitter Snow to the trees for texture and a little red die cut bird.  The plaid panel is layered over a Blue Jay zig-zag rectangle panel which I mounted to a card base white woodgrain embossed cardstock with a few pearl watercolor splatters. The sentiment is white embossed and die cut using the Happy Happy Happy Add-on set and a fancy folded banner die cut from Narwhal cardstock.

Lawn Fawn December Inspiration Week: Woodland Critter Huggers

Hello! Today is the last day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration and Release Week, all the new products will available for purchase starting tomorrow! But we did save the best for last in my opinion.  I really love the new Woodland Critters Huggers die set and it's even better that there are parts to create lots of different critters from the same set!

WoodlandCritterHuggers_ChariMoss1

You can cut these little guys from cardstock but I wanted to try something a little different so I cut my pieces out of felt and did some stitching!

WoodlandCritterHuggers_ChariMoss2

I think he turned out really cute and I'm looking forward to making him some friends very soon.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more Woodland Critter Hugger projects and see the new stitched gift card pocket die that works with these cute little critters!

Lawn Fawn December Inspiration Week: Lacy Borders, Lacy Hearts + Outside In Hearts

Hello! Welcome back to another day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration and Release week! Today we are featuring some new dies, the Lacy Borders, Lacy Heart Stackables and Outside In Heart Stackables.

LacyHeartStackables_OutsideInHeartStackables_LoveYaLineBorder_LacyBorders_ChariMoss1

I made little 4 bar size card using the navy plaid from Perfectly Plaid Chil for the background.  I added a Lacy Heart cut from Guava cardstock behind the Outside In Heart die cut from Ballet Slippers.  I also used the Stitched Woodgrain backdrop on the light pink heart to create the design and texture.  The Love Ya Line border is cut from Mermaid cardstock with the small Lacy Border in Peacock cardstock layered below.

LacyHeartStackables_OutsideInHeartStackables_LoveYaLineBorder_LacyBorders_ChariMoss2

I used the cute little skunk from Stinkin Cute fussy cut then popped up on top of a die cut piece.  I did this because my die shifted when cutting, so rather than starting over, I thought I would try something a little different.  I actually like the unique look it created, like a white shadow behind him.  I finished off with a little glitter around the heart.

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog today for more projects with these fun new products!

Lawn Fawn December Inspiration Week: RAWR

RAWR! Or whatever "Hello" is in dinosaur. :)  Today for Lawn Fawn Inspiration week we are featuring RAWR, the fun mini set with a cute dinosaur.

RAWR_LacyHeartStackables_OutsideInHeartStackables_ChariMoss1

I layered the new Lacy Heart Stackable and new Outside-In Heart Stackable to create a frame and used the Palm Tree dies to help set the scene for this cute little guy.

RAWR_LacyHeartStackables_OutsideInHeartStackables_ChariMoss2

I cut my card base thinner than usual so that the heart would hang past the sides for a different look. I also threaded some silver lawn trimmings twine through the lacy heart and tied it in a bow at the bottom.

Visit the Lawn Fawn Blog for more projects with RAWR as well as the You're Sweet and Love Ya Line border dies.

Lawn Fawn December Inspiration Week: How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-On

Hello and welcome to day two of Lawn Fawn Inspiration week!  Today I'm sharing a new add-on set for How You Bean?  Now that set can be stretched to Valentine's with the Conversation Hearts Add-On.

HowYouBeanConversationHeartAddOn_ChariMoss1

I created a background of conversation hearts on kraft cardstock with doe ink for the card base then I layered an outside in scalloped rectangle over it in cream with a pink stripe base.

HowYouBeanConversationHeartAddOn_ChariMoss2

I used copics to color my pastel conversation hearts and finished the jar off with some sweetheart lawn trimmings twine.

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn Blog for more Conversation Heart projects!
