Lawn Fawn + Xyron Collaboration

Hello!
This week the Lawn Fawn design team is collaborating with Xyron to make some projects using their fab adhesives!  Check out the Lawn Fawn blog all week long for projects. Today I have a card to share that I created using the Xyron Mega Runner.

I started by stamping the large Gingham Backdrops on white paper then die cutting with the second largest cross stitched rectangle in the Large rectangle set.  I layered it onto a card base cut from Blue Jay card stock.  For the scene I cut a stitched rectangle from Mermaid card stock and used one of the grassy hillside borders with some Noble Fir card stock for the ground. The lion from Critters on the Savannah is celebrating with a patriotic hat and some golden fireworks!

I stamped the sentiment in Blue Jay ink on a sentiment banner and gold stars.  I finished off with some gems in the center of my fireworks, colored yellow with copics to match and blue stickles on the hat.

Thanks for stopping by today!

NEW CLASS: Get Shakin' with Lawn Fawn

Hello, Hello!
I have some exciting news to share today.  I have a class coming soon to Big Picture Classes.

Get Shakin' with Lawn Fawn is a fun class focusing on shaker cards and using cute Lawn Fawn products.  I will go through the basics of creating shaker cards as well as how to take those techniques and expand upon them.  This class is great for those who have not yet tried the shaker card experience as well as those who might be more familiar with the techniques.  I designed the class to start with the basics, including showing how different materials and methods that can be used.  Then we will take those basics to the next level with tips for making unique cards and shakers using your favorite dies and stamps.

This is the first full class I have done so I really hope you will join me.  Class starts June 27th!

Also starting June 27th at Big Picture Classes is another class with my friend Jenn Shurkus, Distress Ink Card Techniques which also features Lawn Fawn products paired with Distress Inks! I'm looking forward to her class as well.  I love using distress inks but I know I could expand on my techniques and Jenn is really great with that.  You can see more about her class HERE on her blog as well.

Lawn Fawn June Inspiration Week: Believe in Yourself & Smart Cookie

Hello! Today is the last day of Lawn Fawn inspiration week for June.  Today we are featuring two mini sets Smart Cookie and Believe In Yourself.

BelieveInYourself_ChariMoss1

My first card for today uses the cutie Jackalope from Believe In Yourself.  I made the back ground of my card by blending distress inks onto Distress Watercolor cardstock then I die cut it with largest puffy start stackable die followed by the snowy backdrop die.  I then layered this overtop of a star shaped card cut from Sunflower cardstock.

Little Jack here is colored with copics and I used the coordinating die to cut him out.  I also cut some of the new puffy clouds from vellum and white head embossed the sentiment on the largest cloud.  Using the shallowed simple hillside border I added black cardstock on the bottom to ground my scene and stamped the rest of the sentiment in gold Delcata ink.  I finished it off with a few clear sequins and some gold sparkle lawn trimmings twine.

These little cards are ready to give so some Smart Cookies.  I used the stitched circle dies, scalloped circle dies and sentiment banner dies to create some reward ribbons for these little cookies.  I love that you can curve the sentiment to change up the look and make it fit the shape of the ribbon.  I also cut a small heart from the tails of the ribbons which were made from guava and blue jay cardstock.

I used the largest 4 bar stitched rectangle die to cut some perfectly plaid paper for the backgrounds and finished things off with some sequins and white gel pen stitching lines around the little hearts.

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration with these fun mini sets!
