28 Lilac Lane Blog Hop

Welcome to the 28 Lilac Lane Blog Hop! If you don't already know, 28 Lilac Lane is a line of embellishments designed by May Flaum for Buttons Galore and More. If you are hopping along you should have arrived from Audrey Pettit's Blog.  If you are not hopping but want to start at the beginning please start over on May's blog.

Today I am sharing a fun card I created using pieces from the On Lilac Lane Embellishment Bottle.

Button Love

I die cut a heart from pink cardstock and covered it in tacky glue then started arranging buttons, sequins and pearls into the heart shape.  I filled in between the buttons with the seed beads also contained in the embellishment bottle.  I like that it has more than just buttons in one bottle all in colors that coordinate.

I layered my embellished heart on some die cut rectangles then put a die cut sentiment over the buttons.  I added some glitter and glossy accents to the sentiment to really make it pop!

Next stop of this hop is Emma Williams. Also Buttons Galore and More is having a giveaway at the end of the happy hopping!

Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week: Meadow Border Dies

Hello! Today for Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week we are featuring some of the newer border dies and I have a project with the meadow border die to share with you. I love the grassy border die so this new meadow border die has become another essential for me.

I blended the grass and the background with distress inks using twisted citron and lucky clover for the grass and shaded lilac, tumbled glass and cracked pistachio with a layer of picket fence over top for the sky.

My critters are colored with colored pencil and I finished things off with some peppermint twine, white enamel embellishments and a smiling sunshine.

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more amazing projects with the new border dies.
