Peace & Joy

Happy Christmas Eve!
I hope you have all been good so Santa will come and leave some awesome presents for you tonight. :) Today's card is perfect for Christmas Eve and Santa's flight!

I love the little village and silhouette of Santa's sleigh in Ready, Set, Snow.  I like even more that you can use them without the snow globe too.   I embossed the Snowy backdrops with clear embossing powder on distress watercolor cardstock then blended the sky with tumbled glass, broken china and blueprint sketch distress inks.

I used the puffy cloud border die to cut the ground and used gold embossing powder for the sentiment.  The images are colored with copic makers and cut with the coordinating dies.  How great is it to have a die to cut out Santa and his sleigh!

Thanks for stopping by today! I wish you all a Merry Christmas Eve, we will be spending the evening with family.

Christmas Delivery

Today's card features a cute little deer delivering a Christmas Tree just in time for the holidays.

I started by creating the sky with distress inks on distress watercolor paper. I blended Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass with an ink blending tool then stamped the snowflakes with Yeti pigment ink. The trees are stamped in Celery Stick and Freshly Cut Grass inks.  I used copic markers to color the sled and deer and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I used the stitched hillside border to cut distress watercolor paper for the ground and finished off by stamping the sentiment in green ink to match the trees.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Tree Shaker

Today I have a fun shaker card to share with you.  Shaker cards are always fun and it's even more fun when you can find creative ways to create them.  Coordinating dies certainly open up the possibilities for shaker cards.

I used the tree die the coordinates with Trim A Tree to cut out the window of my shaker card.  Before assembling the card I lined up the pieces and stamped the tree inside the die cut window onto the green paper.  I also used white craft foam to create the pocket for the shaker pieces so I was able to die cut it with the tree die as well and have an opening that matched exactly allowing the shaker pieces to stay within the tree all the time.

The sentiment is embossed in white embossing powder and I added just a few elements to the tree to finish it off. I wanted to keep the tree itself simple so that the little light bulb pieces were easily seen. The shaker pieces are from a pack of shaped glitter I found at Michaels.  Any glitter, sequins or shaped confetti would work to decorate the inside of the tree.

Thanks for stopping by today!
