Clean & Simple Thank You

Today I have a card I created from Online Card Classes Clean and Simple 4 class.  Julie shared a cool way to use embossing to create a faux tile that was super fun! Here is what I came up with when I tried my hand at this fun technique.

I used a thick inchie tile and a thin steel die to create the impression in the tile then used masking paper to mask off the different areas so I could color them with pigment ink.  The key to making this look like a tile is 3 coats of clear embossing over top of the image once I had it colored.

The sentiment is from Neat & Tangled Paper Cut Flowers set.  I layered papers from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine collection behind the tile picking colors that tied in well with the umbrella and background.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Love the thread element too, it gives the whole card texture. Way cool.
