Studio Calico: Walden Card Kit + Add-on sets

I'm back with a couple more projects using Studio Calico November kit Walden along with the Wreath and Holiday & New Year's stamp sets.

I really love the stamps in the Holiday & New Year's stamp add-on, especially this one that says Pop, Clink, Fizz.  I paired it with the cork paper which I thought was appropriate. I gold embossed the stamp on the mint colored paper.

I added vellum and gold color theory sequins to mimic bubbles in a champagne glass.

This card has white heat embossing for the wreath with watercoloring over top of it.  I think this has a cool artistic look that goes perfectly with the modern design of the wreath.  I wanted to the wreath to be the color focus of this card to I paired the panel with the black & white text paper from the Walden kit.

I added Color Theory red enamel dots for the berries and stamped the bow with Color Theory Well Red ink and cut it out to finish off the wreath.

Studio Calico: Walden Card Kit

Hello! Happy Reveal day at Studio Calico! Today the November kits become available for purchase.  I have a few cards to share made with the Walden Card kit.

My first card is pretty straight forward. I used the pattern papers along with circle and scalloped circle dies to create the focal point of this card.  The three wood hearts in this kit stack inside each other so I used the largest and smallest together to create an outlined embellishment.

I coated the wood veneer in wink of stella clear glitter for sparkle and shine and finished it off with a bow made from the ribbon in the kit.

Although there is a stamp in this kit to stamp the body of the apple I wanted the apple to be one of the papers.  So I stamped the solid apple on the plaid paper then used a craft knife to cut around it leaving a negative space.  Then I could stamp my sentiment inside the cut out.

I added white stitching lines around the cut out to create a fun appliqué look.  I really love all the colors pulled together in this card.

I had to be sure to use the fun deer embellishment in this kit.  I wanted to make sure to keep it simple so I arranged a little grouping of three elements over the pink doily in the kit.

I added White and Shine Mister Huey's to the background paper for some added texture behind the main elements.  I also added Wink of Stella clear glitter to the wood heart for more shimmer.

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back soon with more projects using the add-on stamp set for November as well.

You Are Spooktacular

I'm continuing my week of sharing Halloween cards with this spooktacularly cute card today.  I just love this little ghost.

I used some fun paper from Doodlebug's Halloween Parade paper pad for my background and used Lawn Fawn's circle and scalloped circle stackables to create my shaped card.  The little ghost and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn's Spooktacular Stamp set.  The matching Spooktacular dies make it easy to cute out the little ghost perfectly.

For the tree I used the die from the Sweater Weather die set and cut it from black card stock then put a layer of Black Diamond Stickles over it. I added few little star gems to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today! Tomorrow is Studio Calico kit reveal so stop back by to see some cards from November's Card Kit Walden.

All Tricks, No Treats

So I love making Halloween cards, not sure why because I never send them…Halloween isn't exactly a holiday you send cards for but regardless I make them! :) Today I have a card using some cute Bootastic Mama Elephant.  I am not typically into people type images but for these cuties I make an exception.

I used the Lawn Fawn small stitched rectangle dies and stitched 3x4 journaling card to create the background with some Halloween papers.  I also used the Banner die from Mama Elephant for the sentiment.

Cute right? Thanks for stopping by today!

Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week: Yeti + Hats off to you Dies

Hello! Today I have my final project of Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week to share.  There are some new dies that coordinate with some of your favorite older sets.  Today I used the new dies for Yeti, Set, Go and Hat's off to you to make a fun graduation card.

I colored the yeti and hat with copics and used the dies to cut them out.  I no longer have to hand cut out that tassel…yay! I used the 3x4 stitched journaling card and the stitched hillside borders to cut out the background scene.  The clouds are cut with the smallest cloud from the Spring Showers dies.  The navy woodgrain notecard makes a perfect quick card base for this cute little scene.

Stop by the Lawn Fawn Blog to see more projects showing some of these new dies that coordinate with older stamp sets in action.
