Typing Hello

Hello!
First thanks to everyone that voted in the Stamping Royalty Honorable Mention voting.  I am over the moon excited that I got the most votes!  So today I'm sharing another card I made for the contest that didn't get picked (I think I made 8 cards total).

SR_TypewriterHello

I heat embossed the typewriter and cut it out.  I colored the open areas of the image with some light grey copic colors so that the paper part would stand out bright white.  I stamped the hello strip in Unicorn ink and used a standard hole punch to create the notches for the twine.

Penny Pics Mini Album

So if you don't already know, I have a miniature dachshund named Penny that I take pictures of all the time.  She may or may not be an instagram sensation and have her own fan base.  :)  So when I had the task of creating a mini album put before me I knew it had to be filled with my Penny instagram pictures.  The base I use is the Punky Sprouts Teenie Beenie Sprout album.  I used the Pink Lemonade collection from Lawn Fawn and a variety of different stamp images to create this project.

Hope you enjoyed checking out my very first mini album.  I was nervous about making one at first but with lots of positive motivation from friends and a whole weekend to work on it I am very happy with the results and I might just make another one of these days!  I know...shocking! :)

Neat & Tangled Release Week: Across The Card

Hello!
This is my second post for today so if you are looking for my Lawn Fawn post please scroll down.

Today is the last day of the Neat & Tangled May release and we are featuring the new set Across The Card.  I made a couple projects with this set.  Inspired by the recent His & Hers Online Card Class I decided to try my hand at making both a feminine and masculine card with this set.

AcrossTheCard

For the feminine one I used the solid stripe from On the Strip 2 to create a plaid pattern on the bottom and then decorated the top with pastel sequins.

AcrossTheCard_hers

And for the masculine version I used dark and bold colors with the wood grain strip from On the Strip 2 and I decided to be daring and put sequins on this manly card too. :)

This set is nice and simple and would be great to make a quick card set as well, which is just what I did.

ThankYouSet

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration Week: Critters at the Dog Park

Welcome Back for the last day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration week, today we are featuring the newest critter installment and I am SO excited about it.  Critters at the Dog Park...and there is a weenie dog!  EEK!  So naturally that was the image I used for my card...introducing Super Penny! hehe.

SuperPenny

Oh and did I mention that this set has matching die cuts too? I cut the dog using the matching dies and I drew the cape myself.  The background I made with distress inks, I hadn't played with them in awhile.  I cute the butterflies out by hand leaving a border around them to match the dog.  I drew in the flight trails with a white gel pen.

Neat & Tangled Release Week: Sparkle & Shine

Hello!
This is my second post for today, for my Lawn Fawn post please scroll down.

Today is the first day of a new Neat & Tangled release! Danielle is introducing 3 new stamp sets this week.  Today we are featuring Sparkly & Shine.  Here are the projects I came up with, and they just might feature another new stamp set as well. *wink, wink*

YouRock_MyLight

I stamped the solid diamond image in tide pool then I covered it with warm highlight glitter ritz using a double sided adhesive sheet.  The shine is a little hard to see in photographs but it's super shiny.  The light bulb is white embossed on vellum.  I added platinum stickles to the filamint and bottom part of the bulb and colored the very tip with a black copic over the embossing.  The stars I stamped with Brilliance silver ink and I used crystal clear sequins on the diamond card.

Please visit the Neat & Tangled Blog for other projects using this set and a giveaway!  All new stamp sets will be avaliable at 8am Wednesday May 8th.

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration Week: A Good Apple

I'm back for another day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, today we are featuring A Good Apple.  This is a fun teacher themed set with a chalkboard and lots of fun little elements.  My project is a card with a removable magnet, a nice idea for a teacher gift.

GoodApple_card

I attached the chalkboard element with some glue dots that I "unstickied" a bit by picking up fuzz from my clothes so that they were more temporary.

GoodApple_apart

I white embossed the sentiment on black cardstock then adhered to the back of the board frame.  I adhered the elements on with thin foam adhesive and embellished the apple with glossy accents.

GoodApple_frig

The blackboard fits perfectly on the back of a magnetic business card.  I have a pack that have an adhesive side on them so I just peeled of the sticker and ta-da!

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn Blog to see other project with A Good Apple and for a giveaway of this set.

Lawn Fawn May Inspiration Week: Blue Skies

Hello!
It's May and time for another Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!  My favorite inspiration weeks are those when we get to show you new stamps you haven't even seen yet! YAY!  Today we are featuring the new set Blue Skies that is just too cute with hot air balloons, sweet clouds and fun stars.  And even better this new set also has matching new Lawn Cuts dies! Woohoo! Here is my creation...

BlueSkies

For this card I stamped out my images on Neenah solar white cardstock and played with my copic markers.  I used the Lawn Cuts dies to cut out all the images and adhered them to the card base with different thicknesses of foam adhesive.  I love that you can change clear stamp sentiments by bending them and curving them like I did here around the curve of the balloon.

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for other projects from the Design Team and to enter the giveaway of this set.

Thursday, May 2, 2013

Hello!

Hi, today I have a clean and simple card to share.  I combined Neat & Tangled and Lawn Fawn stamps for this one.  Two of my favorite companies of course. :)

HelloStripes

This card did require a little loving care to line up the lines of the On The Strip 2 stamp, but I think the effect is really nice.  I also die cut the Lawn Cuts hearts from some stamped paper as well for embellishments.  I learned in the newest Online Card Class that you can change a card from feminine to masculine by using different colors or shapes so I think this would be a good design to revisit with more masculine colors and different shapes.

Also, today is the last day to cast your vote for Stamping Royalty Honorable Mentions and I would really appreciate your vote!  Voting ends at Noon MDT.  You can use the link below or visit the voting page HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today.
