Lawn Fawn + Perfect Paper Crafting

Hello!
This week the Lawn Fawn Design Team is using Perfect Paper Crafting tools.  I used the perfect layers rulers to create a card with a lot of matted pieces.

BeesKnees

So one great thing about these rulers is you can make a perfect mat without measuring and you don't have to worry about lining stuff up, you can adhere down the piece then cut around it.  This tool also make it very simple to create a matt with a rotated piece of paper.  You will notice that the honeycomb pattern paper is turned at an angle.  It was simple to adhere down the sentiment panel then use the perfect layers took to cut the yellow piece into a perfect mat, but with the pattern at an angle! :)

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog all week for projects using tools from Perfect Paper Crafting.

Also....just a friendly reminder, I would really love your vote in the Paper Crafts Magazine 2013 Stamping Royalty Honorable Mention Category.  You can see the post HERE and vote HERE.  You can vote once a day just go to the vote tab at the top and log in.  Thanks so, so much!!! :)  Or you can click on the widget below.

I need your vote!

Hi Friends!
I have some news to share today and a favor to ask.  I have learned that I am one of the honorable mentions for the 2013 Paper Crafts Stamping Royalty Contest.  (You can see the announcement post HERE)

But it's not over just yet, the honorable mention card with the most votes wins the prize!  So if you would be so kind please visit the Paper Crafts Blog and vote for my card.  You can get to the voting link from the announcement post or go HERE.  Click on the vote tab at the top to see all the cards, select the card you want to vote for (hopefully mine) and then click save vote.  You can only vote once per day and voting ends noon (MDT) on Thursday, May 2nd.

My card is the Honorable Mention in the Hello/Thinking of You category. I made it by embossing the With Flair images on water color paper then coloring them with distress inks and water.  The houndstooth background was made by masking and clear embossing on the black card stock.

Thanks so much for your support! :)

Mason Jar Shaker Card

Hello!
Today I have a video over on the Lawn Fawn Blog showing how I made this fun shaker card using the Mason Jar from Summertime Charm.  My favorite part are the little fireflies mixed in with the sequins inside.

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Year Three

Hi, it's the last day of Lawn Fawn April Inspiration week and we are featuring two sets, I choose to make something with the mini set Year Three.  Here is my project featuring this great little birthday set. I have shared this card before for a blog hop but I love the way it turned out so much I had to share it again. :)

HappyBdayLF

I used the candle image from Bake me a Cake because I wanted to paper piece the candles as well, but there is a great little candle that is part of this set too.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects using this set as well as the mini Mother's Day set.

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Daphne's Closet

Hello, It's day two of April Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week.  Today we are featuring the new paper collections again.  I choose to use Daphne's Closet to decorate this journal.

DaphnesJournal

I used the larger size 12x12 sheet for the background and the smaller 6x6 for the dress.  The dress is from Happily Ever After.  I added some white embroidery floss for the straps of the dress and formed the hanger from some black wire.  Everything is covered in a thick layer of Mod Podge so it will stay in place and sealed to the front of the journal.  The wooden stars are covered with picket fence distress paint and platinum stickles.

Visit the Lawn Fawn Blog for more projects with Daphne's Closet and Pink Lemonade!
