Pattern Play #1

So for once I finally got around to making some cards based on the lesson in Online Card Class, granted it did take me a week. :)  I love pattern paper but I am not very good about using it sometimes so that's why I thought the newest class Pattern Play would be a good ones for me to take.

For Day 1 "homework" I got out the Darling Dear paper pad from Studio Calico and flipped through it to find 3 papers that I could use together, a big pattern, medium pattern and a small pattern.  This is what I came up with.

Since I picked one of the patterns with word bubbles I used the Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me set and matching dies for my sentiment elements.  I inked the edge of the green piece so that it would stand out against the kraft card base better as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Great card! Love the pp you chose and the cute heart in the bubble.

  2. Awesome card, Chari! Love your choice of patterned paper and how you incorporated the speech bubbles for your sentiment!

  4. Really pretty card, Chari! I love your choice of papers, too!

  5. I give it A+ too, Chari! I joined the class but haven't had time to watch the videos yet, now I need to go watch! Have a great week!
