Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Good Fortune

Today is the last day of February Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week and we are featuring the new set Good Fortune, and the matching lawn cuts.

The photo doesn't show it very well, but there is lots of embossing on this card.  The teeny tiny heart background is clear embossed on Hero Arts black layering paper.  To create the bottom where the cookie and take out box are sitting I completely embossed a piece of card stock with 3 layers of silver embossing.  The card is accented with red & silver stickles and peppermint lawn trimmings.

Stop by the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects with this set and a chance to win!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Pink Lemonade

Continuing with Lawn Fawn inspiration week today we are featuring one of the new paper lines Pink Lemonade.  This collection is bright and summery, it makes me long for winter to be over and spring to was 24 degrees last night so I'm very ready for warmer weather.  I have not been very good about using the stickers that match each collection in the past so my challenge to myself was to use some stickers this time.

I used my embossing powder tool to unstick the sticky on the back of the banner sticker so I could pop it up on foam dots.  I used patterns from the 12x12 papers because I had some scraps lying around but you could do this with the 6x6 papers as well.  The scalloped yellow circle I cut with a nestabilities die and the green plaid paper I punched with a scallop edge punch.  I finished it off with a bow from the new pink lemonade twine.  Super easy and super cute!

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog to see other fabulous creations from the design team using this brand new paper line (available later this week!).  Oh and I'm sure there is a giveaway going on at the Lawn Fawn blog as well, Kelly just loves giveaways! :)

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Summertime Charm

Today is the start of Inspiration Week at Lawn Fawn! Woo Hoo! Time to share creations with some of the newest release of stamps (which will be available February 21st!).  Today we are featuring Summertime Charm, which has new matching Lawn Cuts dies too!  I have some project ideas tucked away in my head for some upcoming videos featuring this set and the new dies but for now on to today's inspiration.  I love this set because you can fill jar with all the little elements, but I wanted to try and stretch my creativity and see what else I could do with this set.

Fruit pinwheels! I looked at the fruit and thought what else can be done with these and this is what I came up with.  I stamped the strawberry and lemon slice on some pink lemonade papers and colored them with copics.  I think this technique adds a nice texture under the color.  I colored silver gems with copics as well to have matching gem stones for the pinwheel centers.  The jar is embossed on vellum with a light blue paper behind it.  This would also be great without the paper behind but I wanted to block out some of the pattern paper behind the jar to keep things from getting too busy on the card.  I'm also totally in love with the hearts and stars in this set.  I stamped the solid heart in pale tomato ink from hero arts which looks great with these papers.  The little tab at the top is cut from the extra pattern strip from the bottom of the fruit punch 12x12 sheet.

Be sure to stop by the Lawn Fawn blog all this week for design team projects using the featured sets and be sure to check the Lawn Fawn shop or your favorite store for all the new goodies later this week.

I Mustache You...

Happy Valentine's Day!  I have a punny little card to brighten the day.  I just love the little mustache dies from Memory Box and I have had way to much fun using them. I mustache you...

I mustache be mine :)  More fun with glitter ritz glitter colored with copic, and the little mustache is die cut from black felt. I used the new arrow pattern in the new Sharp Backdrops set from Lawn Fawn with the new Pale Tomato ink, it may be my new favorite color.

A Charming Frog Prince

Prince Charming is here to say hello.  A small little card that's perfect for Valentine's day or any day of the year. :)

The big heart is die cut and coverd with warm highlight glitter ritz colored with copic marker.  The little mustache is cut out of black felt and adds a very fun element to the little frog prince.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Dachshund Love

Hi! I'm back with another lovey dovey card today to get you in the Valentine mood.  The super sweet Ellen Hutson gave me a little gift when I saw her at CHA, a teeny little dachshund die.  And I knew as soon as I saw it that there would be a doxie love card in my future.

Super simple, and goes right along with one of our lessons in Clean & Simple Card Making 2 about using die cuts.

Grow Old With Me

I've been busy playing with some new goodies this weekend and making Valentines! :) I've been inspired by the Clean & Simple Card Making 2 class at Online Card Classes, especially Jennifer Rzasa's interactive card.  So I decided to give it a try.  I just got some glitter ritz glitter and mustache dies this week so I did a lot of playing with them.

I wanted to make my mustache change from "young" to "old" so I colored the glitter with copics from dark grey to light.  I do wish I had designed it so that the glitter didn't show when the tab is pulled out....maybe next time.

In addition to trying my hand at an interactive card I sucked it up and gave some spray mist a go...which typically scares me because I feel like I have no control.  This light Cameo Mister Huey was the perfect thing to tone down the excessive white and highlight the mustache.

"Sweet" Valentine

Today I have a "Sweet" card to share with you all.  This simple paper pieced image is a great way to use up little scraps you may have laying around.

You can check out a video of me making this card at the Lawn Fawn Blog or on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel.  I also show some ways I sometimes sketch out and stamp out my ideas to help plan out my cards and how this can help you with your creations.

Thanks for stopping by!
