Lovely Dovey Giraffes

I bet you thought I had dropped off the face of the earth after CHA didn't you? Well I'm going through the typical winter funk I think, but today I have a fun, super cute Valentine's card to share with you all.

I made this cute couple using the mirror stamping technique.  I created the background by stamping with the new pale tomato ink by hero arts on pink cardstock.  The images are colored with copic marker and accented with stickles and stardust glitter pen.  The Lawn Fawn design team has been sharing Valentine projects all week so be sure to check them out at the Lawn Fawn blog.

Neat & Tangled January Release: On the Strip

I'm back today with another preview of a awesome new set from Neat & Tangled.  I just love the new set On the Strip.  You can use this set to create your own custom washi tape look, how awesome is that?!? I just love this idea, you can have matching patterns and customize the colors just by using your stash of ink.  Don't get me wrong I love my washi tape but this stamp set can stretch the washi look even further.   I made a couple Valentine's projects using this great set.

For this first card I stamped the strips close together creating a pattern paper then die cut the heart shapes out of my pattern paper.  I colored my pearls with a pink copic to give them a soft pink tone and accented the edges of the hearts with stickles.

This set would be great to create quick cards, I made these two little Valentine's very quickly by stamping the same strip in coordinating colors.  To create the ripped effect on the vertical strips I just tore a scrap piece of paper and used it to mask off the bottom of the card.

Neat & Tangled January Release: My Heart Sings

Hi Everyone!
I know I've sort of dropped off the face of the earth lately but a new job, holidays and being sick just kept me away.  But today I'm here with a card for the January release for Neat & Tangled.  Danielle has designed some great sets for this release and I'm so happy to be helping share them with you.  Today we are featuring the new set My Heart Sings.  I just love the bird images in this set!  Here is my creation.

For Christmas I got a set of 24 Inktense Pencils so I just had to try them out for this card.  I embossed all the images on watercolor paper using black Versafine ink & clear embossing powder.  Then I colored the bird and heart in usint the inktense pencils.  The branch and border were also drawn using the inktense pencils but I did these elements free hand.
