Summer CHA Share

Hi friends! No card today, but I thought I would pop in and share a few more photos from CHA.

This is all of us after a full day of setting up the booth, it still looks like a mess but all those boxes and bags went home with us...and yes that did make for a very cramped car ride :)

Me and Nancy waiting to leave after set up day...we had the task of organizing all the stuff on the walls in the frames...I think we did a pretty awesome job, we are a good team!

This was that cramped car ride I was talking about.  We had to make a few stops on the way back to the house too so Nancy & I stayed in the car with that body bag...I mean Christmas Tree in our laps.  Needless to say we got some funny looks sitting in a car with the engine running and that squishing us in the backseat while the others went into Micheal's too pick up some needed items.

I Love this picture with Nancy & Britta, we are tired but happy to be there. :) Like our little gingerbread pins??? That was Day one's make & take project.  Nancy and I had fun coming up with different ones for our make & take examples. Way better than making a million pinwheels! Okay, okay not a million but it felt that way.

Design Principles Class Seat Giveaway!

Hello Friends!
I'm back!!! Have you missed me? Sorry I have been so absent, I've been busy, but more on that later...first today's card! I have a video showing how I made this card with the little Thank You stamps that Lawn Fawn sends you when you order from them.  You can check out the video on the video on the Lawn Fawn Blog  or HERE on the Lawn Fawn You Tube channel.

Fun card huh? It was nice to get back to my craft desk after being gone for a week to Chicago for CHA.  I had a great time while I was gone with a great group of people.  I may have worked hard while I was away but I couldn't have been happier to do it.  Here are a few pics from my trip! 

I didn't arrive in time to construct or paint the booth but I'm pretty sure they saved the measuring and taping off of the picture frames for when I arrived...they seem to think I have experience with a tape measure or something.  Wonder where they got that idea from. :)

I finally got to meet Stephanie & Danielle! It's so great to meet some of your best blogging buddies in real life. They are both such sweet girls and I was glad they came by multiple times the two days there were there.  Oh and this is a nice pic of half of the Young Crafters Unite! design team too!

This picture captures our daily commute with Kelly, me & Nancy in the back seat of the car. :) Nice and cozy right?  I will share more pictures very soon. In the mean time Nancy has some great posts about the Lawn Fawn CHA experience on her blog...she was much better at taking pictures than I was.

Tomorrow I leave for Chicago yay! I'm looking forward to seeing my Fawnies and other crafty friends too.

I am currently participating in the Stretch Your Stamps class. I haven't been able to make too much, but I am absorbing all the lessons. Here is one card I made after watching Day 1 about background stamps.

I can't say that I "stretch" this background stamp on this card, but it began as a different idea that just wasn't going to work, so I salvaged my beautiful background and made this card. I'll "stretch" it eventually. :)

The background is colored with distress inks over the clear embossed image, then sprayed with Perfect Pearls Mist for shine (it's much shiner in real life). The wood veneer heart is colored with picked raspberry distress ink and glam pink stickles. The first part of the sentiment is from the new heyday stamps from Hero Arts and I hand wrote the second part.

Hi Friends!

Today I have a bright and fun 21st birthday card to share (yes another reject but it's still wonderful in my eyes).  I combined 4 different sets to create this card and had lots of fun playing with some of the new seasonal distress ink colors to create the circle element too. (forgive my phone pic but it showed the colors & dimension better than the one I took with my real camera, weird) 

I created the background by clear embossing the {adult}beverage image from Lawn Fawn's Swimsuit Season set. :)  The circle badge I created by cutting my circles from watercolor paper, clear embossing my letters/numbers and then picking up the distress inks mixed with water off my craft mat.  I love the fun tie-dyed sort of look it gives. I did the same technique with the "Cheers" sentiment flag.  I popped the badge shape up on foam to leave space for the ribbon, embossed vellum & sentiment banners to go.  I also added glossy accents to the numbers.

CHA is getting closer by the day, and today you can see 5 of the 10 new Lawn Fawn sets revealed on the Lawn Fawn blog.  Run, don't walk, and go check them out HERE. I would tell you which is my favorite but I can't, I love them all! :)

Hello! Back with another reject today.  It's a valentine yes, but I liked this card too much to save it until February to share.

My husband might have rolled his eyes at me with this sentiment but I thought it was rather cute myself. :)  I used Smitty's ABCs & Dad's Day to create the sentiment and the hearts are from Just My Type, Too.

Dreaming of You...

Hi Friends,
Sorry I have been absent from blogging lately.  I have had a lot of stuff going on both personal & crafty!

You may have noticed a few changes around here. I have moved to a new web address, but don't worry, I switched it in such a way that (hopefully) I didn't loose any of my followers and if you visit the old link it should direct you to the right spot. (I'm not sure how it works with email subscriptions so if you had subscribed by email you might want to check on it)  In addition to a new address there is a new name and some new graphics. Time to bid farwell to Little Miss Littleness, but I will be sure to share what is going on with "Little Miss" from time to time and share pics of her as well. :)

I have also been working on my MossyMade Etsy shop (which you can find a link to in the top menu bar). I wanted a way to sell some of my creations since I get asked constantly if the are for sale. In addition to cards I wanted to offer something for my card making friends, so I have a selection of handmade polymer clay buttons and seam binding.  This is still a work in progress, since I do have a full time job & only so much time to devote to my shop, so I am adding new items when as I can.

Enough babbling from me, on to the card! I unfortunately didn't get any of my cards picked up for the last Paper Crafts submittal so I'm here to share some "rejects" this week.

This card was based on the sketch below.  I wanted to use some new stamps & a paper punch I had gotten recently. I also played with using my distress inks to color my image with as well.  With a little masking it was pretty easy.

On other note...I am headed to Chicago for Summer CHA on Saturday. (so yes my blog will be neglected yet again) And in true Fawnie style you will find me in the Lawn Fawn booth #1117 so please come by and say hello! :) Lawn Fawn has 10 new stamps sets and 2 new paper lines coming out!
