I've neglected my blog for a few days, so sorry, it's been a little hectic this week. As many may know the most recent submission call for Paper Crafts Magazine wrapped up this past week. I submitted two cards. This is the first time I have ever submitted anything for a publication call. I wasn't expecting much since it was my first time and I only submitted two projects. But I got a nice surprise when an acceptance email popped up in my inbox! One of my two cards was chosen for the July/August issue and for a first time submission I have to say that's pretty awesome! So I get to share my reject card (which was actually my favorite of the two) and you'll just have to wait to see the other. :)
I've pretty much decided I'm incapable of making this little Lawn Fawn toaster any other color, I always picture it red! I used papers from Echo Park's Happy Days paper pad to create a the retro diner feel for this card which to me is perfect for a shiny red toaster and glossy white salt & pepper shakers.
