Countdown to the BIG DAY!

Hello all my beautiful blogging friends.  You may or may not have noticed the ticker at the bottom of my blog, but it is coming close to the end.  Three more days to be exact...three more days until the end of my single life and beginning of a new adventure.  So needless to say I have been wrapping up my crafty wedding projects this week rather than making any cards.  I have also been moving all my stuff, so most of my stamps have been packed away, how sad.  I'm still trying to set up my new craft space, but I am excited because I think it will be an improvement from my previous set up.  I will try to share some pictures when it is all sorted.

So rather than not share anything this week I thought I would quickly share some of my wedding projects.  Our guest book is a picture album that I filled with photos of me and Matt, on the first page I stamped our names and wedding date using Harold's ABCs and my new Jenni Bowlin Stick Candy ink.  I already love this ink and can't wait to stamp with it more!

First Page of the Guest Book

I put together small gift bags for the kids coming to our wedding.  Made the tags with the cute milk and cookies from Cozy Christmas.  I purchased this set after Christmas just for the milk and cookies!  This is a theme we have for our wedding.  You can see our invitation in my blog post HERE when I cased Kelly Marie's card.  We are also having little milk jars and bags of cookies as our wedding favors.  I featured the milk part of our favors in my blog post HERE.

I used all the little thank you stamps Kelly Marie sends with lawn fawn orders along with some other stamps from various Lawn Fawn sets to create a variety of different thank you bags.  I was really excited to use the Say Cheese Too camera for our Photographer's bag, it is just so cute! (please excuse the photos, they were taken with my iphone)

Thank You gift bags for people helping us with our wedding

The Big Day is coming soon and I will soon get to marry my best friend and the love of my life!  I can't wait to share some pictures with you all. :)

Love, Chari

Splash of Color

Today I made two cards!  Both play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge Color Splash!  I made the first card using Lawn Fawn's Bake me a Cake and then decided to use the left over paper to make another similar card with my new Sew Lovely stamps!  I was going for a retro kind of look with these.

The background paper is from October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker collection, I distressed it with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The Red frosting is also from the Modern Homemaker paper pad and I colored the cake stand with an Silver American Crafts Metallic Marker.

I kept the second card more simple and let the patterned paper do all the work.  The piece I had left over had this great image at the bottom left so I just added my splash of color with the sentiment, ribbon & buttons.  I added glossy accents to make the needle shiny.

I think they both turned out rather nice, sort of a different style than I usually create.  But that was what I was going for actually.  I will be entering these together at Lawnscaping because I think they should remain a pair. Thanks for popping in to check out my creations today!

Cute 'n' Cuddly

I made a card this morning for the Cute and Cuddly challenge at Wee Memories and Lawnscaping.  My two favorite challenge blogs together doing such a fun theme... how could anyone pass up that opportunity.    Here is my cute and cuddly creation.

On this card I used Lawn Fawn sets Critters in the Forest, Critters in the Burbs, Fly Free, and Sophie's Sentiments.  I used Wild Honey & Worn Lipstick Distress Inks to create the background and Broken China & Peeled Paint to distress the blue sky and green grass pieces.  Thanks Britta for your inspiring Distress Ink lessons!

Old Bird Birthday

It's Friday, YAY!  Headed out to Asheville Pizza and Brewing tonight to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday so I made a quick card for him this afternoon and I wanted to share it.

I colored this little owl a little while back while testing out some new copics, I kept him hoping he would come in handy one day.  He is very fun and festive and was perfect for this card.  I used a variety of Lawn Fawn stamps on this card. Critters in the Forest, Hats off to You, Bannerific, Harold's abcs and Bake me a Cake (for the candle on the inside).

Hope everyone has a great weekend planned, it is in the 70's here finally so I'm looking forward to a beautiful weekend. And I leave you with a little Little Miss Littleness love to brighten your day, Penny likes to get up on my knee when I'm working on my laptop. :)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Between final wedding plans and moving, my life is getting a little crazy.  I haven't had much crafty time lately, so I took advantage of my free time tonight and made a bright cheerful St. Patty's Day card.  I broke in my Lawn Fawn Hats Off To You set along with the penguins from Critters in the Snow.  I also dusted off my favorite Martha Stewart embellishments...Glitter & Flocking for some Sparkly hats and fuzzy tummies. :)

It took me a little while to find my creative mojo but I eventually found it and I am very happy with how this card turned out.  These cutie penguins are also playing along with this week's Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge "Spring is near, Green is here!"

Only 17 more days until the wedding, so if I go MIA for the next two weeks you all know why.  :)  But not to worry I will be back eventually and hopefully have some fun wedding pictures to share!  Yay!  Thanks for visiting today!

Thanks Kelly Marie for featuring the St. Patty's Penguins
on the Lawn Fawn Fawny Flicker Friday!

Thanks Wee Memories for picking my card an Honorable Hoot! :)

You're Tops!

This week's Lawnscaping Challenge is to use a stamp set in an unconventional way.  Which I have to say really had me trying to think outside the box.  So here is what I came up with.

I used Lawn Fawn's Bake Me a Cake set to create the circus platform for the seal from Critters in the Snow.  For the bouncy circus balls, I made the stripes using a stamp from "Bake Me a Cake." The top little ball is the top of the rattle from the "Plus One" set and the stars on the middle ball came from that set as well. I colored the images with copics and added glossy accents for a final touch.

I can't wait to see what others come up with for this challenge, it was a definitely a challenge indeed! :)

WOW! I'm a Lawnscaping Challenge Winner! Thanks!

Woodland Critters

This weeks Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge is Woodland Friends, and my new Lawn Fawn stamps just showed up yesterday, one of which is Critters in the Forest...Perfect!  I couldn't wait to ink up these little cuties.  I used copics to color all the stamps except for the fox (because I do not have any orange colors in my copic collection yet).

By the way I think these little wee Memories Owls are just adorable! Thanks for stopping by today, have a beautiful weekend!

Happy Spring!

The weather has gotten a little warmer but it still isn't quite Springy yet, so to help it along I wanted to make a colorful spring card.  I used the Get Sketchy Challenge #76 as inspiration and some the Stampendous set May Flowers I picked up at Michael's on clearance!

The flowers on the background are embossed with clear embossing powder and each colored square is stamped using a contrasting ink with distress ink on the edges.
